What is the significance of an Iron Ring?

The founder, Kenan Alsamman, graduated from the University of Toronto in 2013 with a degree in mechanical engineering. Although immigration consulting is not in the field of engineering per se, the underlying meaning behind the iron ring can still apply to the field of immigration consulting.

In 1907, the Quebec Bridge, which was poised to be one of the engineering marvels of the world, collapsed and killed 75 workers. The cause was due to an error in judgement by the engineers as a result of poor design and calculations.

Shortly after this calamity, Canadian engineering graduates would receive what is called an iron ring as a reminder of their humility and responsibility to the public for conducting themselves to a high standard. The iron ring is worn on the pinky finger of the engineer's dominant hand.
